An example of a single-supply constant current source is shown. Large resistors (≤100 kΩ) are used to maintain micropower operation. Output current can be adjusted by either changing the supply voltage V_S or the R2B resistor. The output current is equal to (R2 x V_S)/(R1 + R2B). Compliance voltage is: [ V_L ] ≤ V_S - V_SAT, where V_SAT can range from 200 mV - 2V for a load current change of 1 mA - 10 mA (Vs = 5V).
