Instructions: V-to-F
Enter the desired voltage and tuning range for your application together with C_OS (one-shot timing capacitor) in the fields provided. From these, values for R_IN and C_INT are calculated which may be afterwards manually adjusted : see tradeoffs between C_OS and R_IN in tables 3a/b of the datasheet. C_INT can be checked for noise saturation (Eq. 8 from datasheet) using the V_NOISE and V_S+ fields.

Once the application parameters are set, V_IN and F_OUT can be calculated from one another.

In this mode, the primary design parameters are F_IN-MAX (signal bandwidth), F_AVG (mechanical bandwidth) and V_OUT-MAX (output voltage for F_IN-MAX). From these default component values are calculated for C_INT, R_INT and C_OS, which may be afterwards manually adjusted. After the circuit parameters have been entered, V_OUT and F_IN can be calculated from one another.
