Instructions
Setup
- Select the Frequency range and process Corner of
interest. VSLOPE and PINT should be
automatically updated in the fields directly below, but they can be
modified if necessary.
- For other than 50 ohm use, enter Z0 in the
provided field.
- A Correction factor is needed for waveforms other than
purely sinusoidal. Select the type of signal to be estimated from
the pulldown menu.
- If Additional gain is needed or to add your own
correction factor, use the provided field. One possible source of
gain is in the matching components. Click on the matching chart link
to calculate a simple LC match for the AD8313. After a suitable
match is found, click "Done" to close the window and enter the
calculate gain in the Additional gain field.
Log (RSSI) mode
- After the system params have been entered, the response of the
AD8313 with VSET-VOUT shorted is shown in
blue (top chart). A more steeply
sloped response can be obtained by changing REXT
or by entering the desired slope in New VSLOPE
(which will calculate the corresponding REXT). The new
response is shown in red.
Controller mode
- Enter VSET and the power threshold (PT)
will be calculated and plotted (bottom chart).
