Achievements

The IPDC was started in 1995. Our initial focus was on the design and development of the SHARC family of DSPs. Subsequently, a DSP software group was started. As of October 2000, we are 60 engineers strong, working on truly cutting edge technology – both in VLSI design and the DSP application software on the newest DSP's.

In the first 5 years, we have successfully developed 3 DSP products, which are great accomplishments for our team. These DSPs include our highly successful, world's first $10, 200 MFLOP SHARC and 32 bit DSP, and the recently announced 600 MFLOP DSP.

Highlights of 5 years at Analog Devices India:

1995	IPDC started
1995-'96	ADSP 21061 – First product developed entirely at IPDC
1997-'98	Development of breakthrough ADSP 21065L – $10 SHARC DSP Software team started
1999	Development of low cost SIMD SHARC DSP started DSP/Math library development started
2000	Launch of VoN, RTOS and application S/W development for flagship DSPs
