Australia - Directions to ADA

From Melbourne airport ...

Melbourne Airport is situated 20km North-West of Melbourne's C.B.D, while ADA is 25km South-East. This means getting to the City, past it, and out the other side.

Depending on traffic conditions and time of day, it may take anywhere from 45 to 90+ minutes to drive from the Airport to ADA. The City is roughly in the middle.

You have a couple of options ...

OPTION 1 - Catch a taxi-cab. There is a large taxi rank right outside the Airport. Just ask them to take you to "Unit 3, Number 97 Lewis Road, Wantirna".

OPTION 2 - Hire a car, and drive yourself. Great if you're planning on doing some touring during your stay. Note, please ask at your place of hire whether toll requirements are met when using City Link

If you don't already have one, we would recommend purchasing a "Melway" Street Directory from the airport, a gas station, newsagency, or bookstore here in Melbourne. They are the most popular directory in Melbourne, and shouldn't be hard to find. It will also come in handy if you plan to do more driving around Melbourne.

You will find ADA at "Melway" Map: 64, Grid Reference: C11

There are many different routes you can take, but this one is probably the most straight-forward...

• Go south on the Tullamarine Freeway (Route 43) towards the city.
• Veer left at the junction with the Calder Freeway (Route 79) and continue on towards the city.
• When you hit Flemington Road (still Route 79), turn left.
• Turn left again into Elliott Avenue (Route 83), and follow this route through various name-changes until it turns into the Eastern Freeway. At this point you are skirting around the city centre.
• Head east away from the city on the Eastern Freeway until you get to the end (at Springvale Road).
• Turn right onto Springvale Road (Route 40), and head south until you get to the Burwood Highway (Route 26).
• Turn left onto Burwood Highway, and follow it all the way out to Lewis Road (Map 64 B12). By the way, make sure you veer right at the junction with Mountain Highway, and stay on Burwood Highway (Map 63 C8).
• Turn left on Lewis Road, and continue down until you cross a small bridge.
• We are on the right, directly after the bridge, at number 97. Go up the driveway until you reach the fork, and we are in Unit 3, which is just on the right.
