Job Description: Wafer Fabrication Engineer

The Job

  • To develop/improve new and existing wafer fabrication processes used in the manufacture of integrated circuits. The job offers opportunities to work in wide range of engineering disciplines including electronics, device physics and material science.
  • Develop new processes and transfer to manufacturing.
  • Source, evaluate, purchase and commission new equipment.
  • Take personal responsibility for a specific engineering area i.e. implant, etch, diffusion etc.
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing on process control and yield improvement issues.
  • Improve quality and reliability of existing processes.

The Person

  • Have a strong learning ability.
  • Be comfortable in a technically demanding environment.
  • Be able to work within and lead a multi discipline group.
  • Have a systematic and logical approach to problem solving.
  • Be able to work on one's own initiative.
  • Have the ability to schedule and prioritise engineering projects.
